Description

The EHS Manager will provide safety leadership and strategy, actively participating on the plant leadership team to continuously improve the site’s safety culture. This role ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws, implements safety protocols and communications, and offers proactive guidance to maintain safe operations across the facility.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards (including OSHA and EPA).
• Lead and manage local safety and environmental programs, conduct inspections and audits, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain incident response plans; investigate accidents and near‑misses and track corrective measures.
• Oversee solid, universal, and hazardous waste management and disposal to protect water quality and meet regulatory requirements.
• Create and deliver safety training (hazardous materials, lockout/tagout, PPE, emergency response) and maintain accurate safety records.
• Coordinate emergency response planning, conduct drills, and communicate safety initiatives to staff and leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating processes, recommending safety enhancements, and supporting 5S/lean initiatives.
• Collaborate across functions to reduce risk exposure and prioritize hazard mitigation.
• Provide metrics, reports, and presentations on EHS performance and trends to management.
• Manage multiple projects, using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and data analysis.
• Work onsite in a plant environment, with exposure to adverse weather, excessive heat, and noise; occasional travel as needed.

Requirements

• Require 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and lockout/tagout expertise.
• Possess strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑analysis skills (8D, 5Y, statistics).
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; Certified Safety Professional and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
