Geotechnical Supervising Project Engineer

Description

• Manage multi‑discipline projects: proposals, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
• Conduct engineering investigations, data collection, analysis, routine calculations, and feasibility studies.
• Record and report work performance, deviations, quality issues, and unsafe conditions.
• Interface with Senior Inspector to maintain logs, reports, and field records.
• Monitor contractor execution, quality, and resolve on‑site construction issues with superintendents.
• Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and prepare cost estimates and technical scopes.
• Evaluate RFP responses for subcontracts, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare project documentation, monitor schedules, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Assist with project reports, correspondence, cost tracking, and provide technical assistance to oversight staff.
• Lead large field programs, apply geotechnical analysis and design.
• Produce technical reports and ensure project and safety management.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships; pursue new business and maintain billable utilization.
• Additional value‑adds: will preparation and beneficiary grief support.

Requirements

• Hold a B.S. in civil engineering (master’s preferred) and a New York State PE license.
• Minimum of 5 years professional engineering experience.
