Site Safety Engineer

Description

• Thoroughly investigate all incidents, accidents, near misses that happen on the project and prepare a written report of findings.
• Manage and implement the site Drug Free Workplace Program including post-accident alcohol and drug testing.
• Represent company in all OSHA compliance inspections.
• Perform periodic jobsite inspections and prepare observation reports. Complete US Army Corps and/or Walbridge checklists and Leading Indicator Observation Reports.
• Organize and implement the site safety recognition programs.
• Provide site specific safety orientation to all trades and subcontractors working on the project.
• Provide assistance to project and department management personnel to ensure compliance with all safety, accident, and fire programs, procedures and policies.
• Review all safety documentation/reports for accuracy and completeness; ensure all required documents are forwarded to federal and state agencies per regulations and to company insurance carrier per their requirements.

Requirements

• International, regional and local recognition for stand-out projects, safety, sustainability, culture, wellness and diversity practices
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• OSHA 10- and 30-hour certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ Years of Construction experience with high school diploma.
• Working Knowledge on how to develop, implement, and audit Pre Task Analysis for the Contractors and Subcontractors.
• Proficient Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations.
