The engineer will manage solid‑waste projects such as landfill gas, composting, and related design, permitting, construction, and operations tasks. Responsibilities include project management, business development, client interaction, staff training, and preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
The role requires both field work—surveys, data collection, construction quality assurance, and inspections in varied terrain and weather—and office work like CAD drafting, mathematical analysis, and report writing. The engineer will also represent SCS at meetings, conferences, and industry trade shows while receiving technical guidance on complex problems.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering and have at least six years of relevant civil or environmental experience, preferably in the solid‑waste sector. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
