  • Monitors progress towards annual goals.
  • Identifies areas where training and development will enhance the opportunity to meet current and future business needs. Periodically reviews subordinates’ performance, finds areas of improvement, and implements necessary development and training programs or other actions.
  • Oversees Service Managers, Sales Representatives, and guidance for field operations.
  • Develops growth strategies for the department with the President and CFO. Drives expansion of sales and customer base.
  • Management of service operations according to an approved financial plan, which includes operating expenses, accounts receivable/collections, manpower, and inventory.
  • Ensures contractual obligations are met and customer problems are resolved.
  • Implementation of programs designed to meet or exceed corporate objectives in the areas of revenue, sales, margin, and operating income.
  • Finds and implements opportunities for margin enhancement and manages department budget and profitability. Enforces margin structure for department, monitors sales and margins looking for slippage.
  • Ensures that effective performance measures are assigned, and that employees are motivated to achieve and exceed goals in a professional, prompt, and quality manner.
  • Responsible to seek out bid/sales opportunities through client relationships, network opportunities, public/private postings, and assigned bid opportunities.
  • Works to ensure all aspects of service/project work are met safely, on/under budget and on time.
  • Organizes and develops an effective team to efficiently deliver service and to grow the business.
  • Supports and directs employees on safety practices and hazard communication in bidding processes.
  • Report on WIP (work in progress/forecasting) statistics at monthly financial meetings.
  • Plans growth strategy and carries it out efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation of estimates/proposals, supporting and mentoring direct reports or other employees as needed. Assigns bidding opportunities in conjunction with staff talent and experience.
  • Provides overall leadership for the PA and WV Service Groups. Manages goals and ensures department and company goals align.
  • Provides supervision and leadership to the department by providing guidance in mentoring and coaching, individual development plans, and setting goals and priorities for individuals.
  • Promotes a team atmosphere and builds loyalty for EMCOR Services Scalise Industries.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with current clients; responsible for creating relationships with potential future clients.
  • Remains aware of the competition in the marketplace and is ready to react accordingly to changes.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a maintenance administrative capacity, to include preventive maintenance and plant operation procedures, manpower needs, energy management and conservation and contract management, is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of practical facility management and operations experience in the Mechanical Industry.
  • Organized, detailed and able to prioritize tasks.
  • High school diploma or trade school certificate is necessary. A Bachelor of Science in management or mechanical engineering a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices for preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to work with management systems and a variety of professional, administrative and industry personnel.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities.
