Troubleshooting: Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure and network issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Architectural Design: Lead the design of the end-to-end infrastructure and network architecture for our OpenShift platform, including networking, storage, compute, and security components.
Network Strategy: Define and implement the network topology and security policies for the OpenShift cluster and its hosted applications, including ingress/egress routing, load balancing, and firewall rules.
Roadmap and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud-native networking and infrastructure, and contribute to the long-term strategic roadmap for the platform.
Security and Compliance: Design and enforce security best practices within the infrastructure and network layers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies. This includes implementing network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust principles.
Automation: Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps workflows.
Performance and Scalability: Optimize the infrastructure and network for performance and scalability, ensuring the platform can handle increasing workloads and traffic.
OpenShift Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on OpenShift infrastructure and networking, including OVN-Kubernetes, Open vSwitch, SDN, and various CNI plugins.
Collaboration: Work closely with OpenShift platform engineers, application development teams, security teams, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of architectural goals.
Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Microservices Architecture: Experience designing and implementing network and infrastructure solutions for microservices-based applications. This includes knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, including its core components and underlying infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking services.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Certifications: Holding certifications like Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a significant plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies.
