The Role

Overview

Manage low/medium risk gas pipeline modifications, ensuring safety and compliance.

Tasks

-Refer scope changes to the central team for risk reassessment. -Administer temporary modifications, ensuring close-out or extension requests are submitted appropriately. -Oversee low and medium risk modifications in line with T/PM/G/35, from Work Pack authorisation to closure. -Monitor and progress stalled or legacy modifications to ensure timely completion. -Drive the close-out of modifications, including system updates and integrity reviews. -Lead the commissioning process where required, within your area of competence or by seeking support from discipline engineers. -Provide technical and process advice to modification initiators. -Assure the quality and scope of modification assessments. -Coordinate the submission and authorisation of Work Packs, ensuring design information and assessments are complete.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of the National Transmission System (NTS), asset base, and operational practices -Degree (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering -Knowledge of change management processes - desirable -Experience in operational/engineering roles within the gas industry or other high hazard environments - desirable -Experience in design or construction management -Full UK car driving licence -Significant relevant experience in the electrical or mechanical engineering field -Professional accreditation (Chartered, Incorporated, or working towards) - desirable
