Certification Lead - Senior Professional

As a Certification Leader at Schneider Electric, you will oversee the conformity assessment of products to secure market access and meet applicable safety, EMC and performance standards. You will work closely with internal teams, certification bodies and international partners to ensure metering and energy management solutions comply with global and regional regulations.

The role involves leading certification programs, maintaining technical files and declarations of conformity, and providing expert guidance to offer owners and project teams for national and international market entry. You will coordinate with test laboratories, design teams and certification authorities, monitor evolving standards, resolve technical queries, and support audit and validation activities.

• Lead and manage conformity assessment and product certification activities.
• Plan, monitor, and execute certification programs aligned with IEC and metering standards.
• Ensure compliance with directives such as LVD, EMC, MID, RoHS, RED.
• Prepare and maintain Technical Files, Declarations of Conformity and related documentation.
• Provide expert support for national and international market access requirements.
• Coordinate with certification bodies, test labs, and design teams.
• Track evolving global standards and certification trends.
• Resolve technical queries on standards, testing, and compliance.
• Support product conformity demonstrations during validation, reviews, and audits.
• Independently handle certification projects with minimal supervision.
• Serve as technical reviewer or lead reviewer for compliance documents.
• Coordinate external labs for test plan validation and result assessment.
• Mentor team on standards interpretation and certification best practices.

Requirements

Candidates must be able to manage certification projects independently, possess strong experience in CE documentation and technical file preparation, and have deep, hands‑on expertise with metering standards. Additional expectations include handling technical queries, stakeholder management, and, preferably, experience with RF standards, various international certification schemes, and mentoring junior staff.

• Extensive experience in CE documentation and Technical File preparation.
• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of metering standards.
• Proficient in managing and resolving product standards queries.
• Knowledge of RF standards and RED wireless communication compliance.
• Familiarity with UL, CB, UKCA, FCC, RCM, MID and other certification schemes.
• Strong stakeholder management across cross‑functional and international teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics or related engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of certification, conformity assessment or product compliance experience.
• Solid understanding of international standards and market access frameworks.
• Excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and collaborative abilities with a proactive mindset.
