Advise on potential value engineering opportunities
Request, manage and evaluate supplier and sub-contractor quotations
Manage data base
Conduct in-dept reviews of tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, etc
Issue tender queries and RFIs
Attend meetings and site visits are when required
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams
Ensure quantity take-offs and mark up measured drawings are accurately prepared
Adhere to tender return deadlines

10+ years of previous mechanical cost estimating experience in a contracting environment with experience of delivering tenders from enquiry to award stage is essential
Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines
Strong understanding of mechanical & process pipework systems, HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical building services systems
Strong computer skills especially in the use of MS Office
Strong attention to detail
Must display excellent time management, communication, numerical, analytical and organisational skills
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, preform accurate take-offs, and prepare detailed BOQs
Degree in either Mechanical, Process, Building Services Engineering or other related field
Good knowledge of different mechanical & process pipework materials
Problem solving skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities
