Survey Crew Chief

• Interpret engineering plans, plats, and legal descriptions
• Ensure accurate field data collection and proper documentation
• Operate Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, laser scanners and TSC data collectors
• Lead and manage field survey operations for boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction stakeout surveys
• Coordinate with office staff, project managers, and engineers to support project delivery
• Maintain survey equipment and adhere to safety standards
• Represent McCrone professionally on project sites and with clients

We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Annapolis survey team. This role offers the opportunity to support a wide range of commercial, residential, and public projects across Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas.

• Proficiency with Trimble Access Field Software for GPS, Total Station and Scanning workflows
• Strong understanding of Maryland land development and surveying standards
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical field duties
• Experience with Trimble GPS, Total Stations and Scanners
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• 3+ years of land surveying field experience, with crew lead experience preferred
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center and survey drafting workflows
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• SIT/LSIT or progression toward licensure a plus
