Senior Cost Consultant - Health Projects

Description

• Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
• Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
• Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
• Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
• Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
• Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project.
• Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
• Handling contractual frameworks and standard form of contract

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration, specifically JCT and NEC, and knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
• A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent and have previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
• Understanding of hot topic issues such as sustainability, social value, carbon reduction and how these impact the public sector.
• Experience in delivering projects in a consultancy environment, are keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
