Coordinator - Field Construction

Description

• Leads team members on projects and programs to accomplish day-today goals and provides expertise and immediacy of decision-making. Secures necessary resources (internal and/or external) to complete the assigned project (20%).
• Administers bid contracts including preparation and assists in validating change orders when appropriate (10%)
• Acts as liaison between cross-functional project teams, involving personnel from many areas in the Company. Holds regular project/program status meetings with project team. Ensures project team members accountable for results (25%).
• Provides technical expertise and leadership on various company projects and programs, which may include transmission and distribution major road jobs and betterment projects. Coordinates various work activities of project teams. Provides periodic status reports with respect to project/program progress (25%).
• Works with team to ensure programs/projects are completed on a timely basis, within budget, and consistent with corporate objectives. Monitors progress against the plans and budgets including periodic schedule and cost reporting reports (20%).

Requirements

• Effective negotiation skills.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in field operations capital project work preferred.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of system design, construction, and maintenance standards and practices.
• Experience in leading teams and/or projects.
• Associates Degree with 5 years experience.
• Ability to multi-task.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent & 3 years of experience
