Support development of complete estimates including cost, schedule, safety, and quality considerations
Travel to local and regional project sites to understand construction sequence, means and methods, site conditions and perform time-studies
Review bid specifications, drawings, and project documents to understand scope, labor, material, and time requirements
Perform quantity takeoffs for underground duct banks, excavation/backfill, and electrical work (below-grade and above-grade)
Grows technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications
Participate in internal estimate reviews and provide input on construction means and methods
Maintain organized estimate records and version control throughout the bid process
Collaborate with procurement and interface directly with subcontractors and vendors to gather pricing

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently, while also functioning effectively within a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools is required
Exposure to EPC environments, utility projects, or renewable energy (solar, BESS) is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong aptitude for math and analytical thinking
Willingness to travel to local/regional project sites as needed
Prior experience in construction, engineering, estimating, or related field (internships or co-ops acceptable) is preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree inConstruction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field is preferred
Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications
High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required
Relevant coursework or certification in cost estimating, project controls, or construction management is a plus
Comfortable working under pressure to meet tight bid deadlines
Familiarity with Substation, electrical, or civil infrastructure projects is preferred but not required
Confident presenting and defending estimates and conclusions
