Technical review of piping design and signoff of piping isometric drawings
Review and approve technical deliverables including P&IDs, isometrics, and piping specifications.
Develop networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation and with clients.
Ownership of the overall piping design, and coordination with other disciplines via ongoing reviews.

Management and technical oversight of piping packages, including piping materials, piping fabrication, manual and actuated valves
Contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
Development of piping material take-offs for estimating, tender and procurement, to suit project requirements and level of progress
Assist with the preparation of proposals and tenders (such as estimating design hours).
Prepare equipment procurement packages, designs, calculations and cost estimates for conventional engineering, research, and development assignments.
Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
Completion of piping calculations, including pipe wall thickness and branch reinforcement calculations, valve sizing, conical reducer calculations and line sizing calculations.

Basic management skills – be able to monitor workload; remain within assigned budget and alert supervisor if the budget estimate will be exceeded.
RPEQ or eligible for accreditation.
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in piping design, engineering consulting and EPC/EPCM projects in the mining and resources sectors.
Project and/or site experience highly regarded.
Competent at communicating ideas, and familiarity with ASME B31.3 and associated piping standards and their implementation in mineral processing plants
Ability to lead and mentor small teams.
Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and ASME.
