Senior Fire Engineer

Description

The Senior Fire Engineer will operate in a technical capacity, delivering high‑quality fire safety consultancy to clients, supporting the team, and mentoring engineers. The role also involves generating commercial growth through follow‑on work, accurate quoting, and financial understanding, as well as managing projects, clients, consultants, and invoicing.

• Maintain high quality in all fire engineering areas
• Provide arbitration on issues to sustain a positive working environment
• Stay updated on new fire engineering technologies and brief the team
• Ensure compliance with legislation and update procedures accordingly
• Attend meetings and contribute positively
• Analyze workload with Directors and allocate resources appropriately
• Provide encouragement, supervision, training, and guidance to the team
• Participate in interview decision‑making for new hires
• Identify and develop business opportunities and market services
• Assist Directors with short‑, medium‑ and long‑term projections
• Apply company policies (e.g., Equal Opportunities, Grievance) and report deviations
• Contribute to the fire safety community through committees, conferences, and work exchanges
• Build effective relationships as a collaborative team player
• Manage complex fire safety projects
• Maintain strong client relationships
