Assembler Doors 2nd shift

Description

This role is a production, assembly, and general labor position in door manufacturing, requiring careful visual quality assessment and hands‑on repair work.

The job involves manually handling door components up to 80 lb, standing for long periods, and working in a dusty, noisy environment with temperature fluctuations.

• Perform visual quality inspections of door stacks on the conveyor.
• Repair defects using tools such as glue guns, palm sanders, chisels, Bondo, and touch‑up paint.
• Restack repaired doors that meet quality specifications and push pallets onto the conveyor.
• Separate unrepairable doors into a cull stack and document them on reject sheets.
• Operate jump tracks, straighten doors, and load door stacks onto paint‑booth infeed tracks.
• Read and follow ticket instructions and product specifications.
• Identify and document product defects and decide repairability.
• Use hand tools (sanding blocks, planers, putty knives, clamps) with high craftsmanship standards.
• Communicate defects and repair status promptly to upstream and downstream departments.
• Manually lift or slide doors up to 80 lb, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Work in a dusty, noisy environment with temperature variations.

Benefits

The position is located at 280 Donovan, Stanley, VA 22851, offering $18 per hour plus a $2 shift differential for the second shift (3 pm‑1:30 am, Monday‑Friday).
