Assist BUMED HQ and Regional personnel with the research of possible solutions to facilities problems and recommend the purchase of equipment, change in preventative maintenance, or other potential solutions necessary to resolve issues.
Record, coordinate, and track all above standard facilities work request in DMLSS.
Determines project requirements for new construction, repairs, and alterations for incorporation into DMLSS-FM Requirements module and shall work with the NAVFAC FMS to have the project properly developed NAVFAC MAXIMO, eProjects and GFEBS.
Supports the region by ensuring that statements of work and cost estimates are clear, concise and of sufficient detail to support the development of a DD Form 1391 in DMLSS-FM or EPG (or PAX).
Assist BUMED HQ, Regional personnel, and Facility Managers/Engineers with development of five-year maintenance action plan to include local, regional, and special projects to be incorporated into the installation’s MEP/MAP/LRP.
As required by the region N4, gathers consumption data for all utility resources including electricity, gas, sewer, and water.
Assist various regions N4 directorate, Facility Managers, A/E firms, and other authorized persons in locating and providing construction drawings, specs, and other property data in a timely manner.
Assisting in a facilities administration program that includes adapting procedures and practices concerning property facilities, utility systems, buildings, and equipment requirements.
Evaluate major items of equipment and systems to determine their condition and remaining service life.
Makes periodic surveys of facilities throughout the AOR for the purposes of providing technical advice and assistance to activities and assist in providing oversight of preventive maintenance.
Develops statement of work, plans, specifications, and cost estimates with or for the assigned FMS/Zone manager for projects to be inducted into installation’s work induction board.
Develop sthe requirements for formal SOW and IGE to be developed by the NAVFAC and USMC PWD planners and estimators and subsequently reviews the SOW and IGEs for accuracy prior to WIB submittal.
Provide project scope information to Activity Facility Manager for review prior to submitted to the NAVFAC FMS or USMC Zone Manager.
Serves as a liaison and coordinator for the BUMED supported activities and the installation assigned FMS or Zone manager.
Assist BUMED in coordinating with local installation Public Works, USACE, NAVFAC, DHA, and or other relevant entities concerning property facilities, utility systems, buildings, and equipment requirements.
