- Client development and expansion of Geosyntec’s solid waste (SW) engineering practice and capabilities in Florida.
- Leading the development of proposals and other business development activities focusing on private and municipal SW clients.
- Preparation of design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, bid documents, and permit applications.
- Occasional fieldwork and out-of-town travel may be required.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

- Engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, hydrologic and landfill gas modeling, and seepage.
- Travel between offices and routine collaboration with professionals in other offices and regions should be expected.
- Demonstrated SW Project/Program Management experience. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- With ten offices in Florida, location is flexible with central or southeast home base preferred.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to solid waste.
- Experience with modeling/design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, HELP Model, Slide2, Settle3, Slope/W, Vadose/W, Sigma/W, and ARCGIS. (preferred)
- At least 10 years (15+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Proven track record in SW client development, marketing and proposal writing for SW consulting services. (required)
- Demonstrated professional engineering group and/or applicable technical organization leadership. (preferred)
- Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering. (required)
- Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration. (required)
- Demonstrated Florida SW regulation and permitting knowledge and expertise. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required .
- Fieldwork coordination and management associated with investigation, design, and construction services.
