Job purpose: execute the main procurement activities, including sourcing, contracting and supplier development, as well as purchasing materials, services, assets, MRO and general items with the right specifications, price, quality, delivery time and location.
The role is accountable for developing suppliers, executing sourcing and contracting plans, evaluating supplier performance, negotiating purchase conditions, managing purchase orders, ensuring compliance, handling non‑conformities, and maintaining vendor master data.
- Develop suppliers to meet cost, delivery and quality objectives.
- Execute sourcing and contracting per AED sourcing strategy.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and implement development plans.
- Secure contracted items with approved suppliers to optimize price, delivery, payment terms and reduce cycle time.
- Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all procurement transactions.
- Clarify purchase requirements and coordinate with requesters or BU technical teams.
- Manage RFx processes (RFQ, RFI) with qualified suppliers.
- Negotiate best purchase conditions, including price, delivery, Incoterms and payment terms.
- Propose alternative material specifications when market availability changes.
- Compare quotations using approved forms to select optimal commercial and delivery terms.
- Issue purchase orders in the system, attach required documents and follow approval matrix.
- Send approved purchase orders, obtain acknowledgments and monitor delivery until receipt and order closure.
- Contribute to sourcing, development, evaluation and contracting in coordination with commodity heads.
- Maintain up‑to‑date vendor master data.
- Manage non‑conformity processes for rejected materials, leading corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct supplier visits for pre‑qualification, evaluation, development and partnership strengthening.
- Train and coach subordinates, delegate tasks fairly and build effective teams.
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets within schedule and budget.
- Produce periodic deviation and execution reports.
- Resolve operational problems and escalate complex issues.
- Implement quality control processes and ensure product/service specifications.
- Coordinate policies, procedures and seek automation opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations.

Academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Work experience: 5–10 years. Required competencies include negotiation, project management, MS Office, teamwork, time management, organization, communication, creativity, initiative, analytical thinking and the ability to work under pressure.
