Analytical Development Scientist

Description

• Record and report analysis results in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as required.
• Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines.
• Operate automated glass washing equipment and maintain glassware stock in laboratories.
• Clearly and accurately communicate results by creating documentation of testing/analysis and obtained results.
• Dispose of laboratory waste routinely in accordance with SOP and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare analytical reagents and solutions following analytical test methods.
• Conduct routine chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and stability samples using internally developed and compendial test methods.
• Maintain and organize work area, instrumentation, and testing materials.

Requirements

• Problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving problems.
• Understanding of safe work practices.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Ability to read and follow detailed procedures.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
• Knowledge of chemical hazards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software including Microsoft Outlook for email.
• Experience performing chemical or physical tests with chromatographic, spectroscopic, or other analytical techniques preferred.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as determination of test reliability, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.
• High School Diploma minimum educational requirement.
