Collaborate with engineers and project managers to integrate modeling results into design documents, reports, and permit applications.
Contribute to QA/QC processes to ensure data integrity, model accuracy, and consistency across deliverables.
Support municipal utility projects by identifying bottlenecks, overflows, infiltration/inflow (I/I) issues, and flood risk areas through dynamic modeling.
This office job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. May occasionally be exposed to noise.
Ensure modeling efforts meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements (EPA, FEMA, state DEPs)
Develop, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic and hydrologic models for water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems using software such as SWMM, EPASWMM, EPANET, InfoWater Pro, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, WaterCAD/GEMs, SewerCAD/GEMS or MIKE+ software .
Extract and process GIS data, survey files, and utility records to build and update system models.
Assist in field data collection and site visits to support model calibration, including flow monitoring and utility hole inspections.
Analyze system performance under existing and future conditions to support master planning, capital improvement planning, and asset management.
Prepare clear technical documentation, model summaries, maps, and visualizations to support internal teams and client presentations.
Participate in the development of stormwater management plans, sanitary sewer evaluations, and water distribution system assessments.
