Project Engieering Primary

Description

You will work with the PQS Electromechanical Design team to develop plant models, produce installation drawings, and support project execution across electrical, mechanical, civil and structural disciplines while upholding safety and quality standards.

• Review tender and bidding specifications.
• Develop 3‑D plant models using Revit and integrate with ACC/BIM360.
• Prepare and review FACTS layout, civil inputs, grounding, lightning protection, busbar system data, and detailed steel drawings.
• Perform calculations for ampacity, cantilever loads, magnetic fields, and grounding requirements.
• Purchase steel, aluminium, connectors, and switchyard equipment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and manage project planning, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
• Create work plans, cost estimates, and monitor schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal/external regulations.
• Conduct BOQ estimation, cost optimisation, and budget control during project tendering.
• Provide inter‑departmental engineering coordination and project monitoring.

Requirements

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, 5‑8 years of substation primary design experience, and proficiency with Revit or other 3‑D CAD tools. Experience in EPC or consultancy design environments, as well as in erection and installation of MV/HV/EHV substations, is also essential.
