You’ll also play a key role in process optimization, implementing Lean practices, managing costs, and driving throughput. Collaboration with the construction team for ongoing improvements will be a big part of your day, as will supporting new product development and managing contractor relationships. In addition to technical expertise, strong leadership and team management skills are key. You should be comfortable guiding a team to meet the business’s tight deadlines and time frame requirements, while building rapport and fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Excellent communication skills are also important, as you'll be working closely with various stakeholders, from team members to contractors and clients. Being a team player with a knack for problem-solving will help you navigate the fast-paced environment and contribute to the ongoing success of the company.

To be successful in this role a background in estimating, scheduling, steel frame detailing, and/or residential drafting will be highly regarded. You'll need a solid understanding of residential construction methods to ensure that the designs and processes align with industry standards. Being health and safety focused is a must, as maintaining a safe and compliant work environment is critical to both the wellbeing of your team and the success of the business.
