Contracts Administrator

Description

The Contracts Administrator supports successful project delivery by managing contract documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and facilitating communication between subcontractors and the project team. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts, managing variations and claims, and ensuring timely payments.

The project involves design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a plant scheduled for first production in 2028, encompassing marine works, tunnels, a seawater intake system, a reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater and drinking water storage systems, and associated civil, electrical, and bulk earthworks.

• Maintain detailed understanding of head contracts and subcontract templates, ensuring timely administration of notices.
• Prepare and compile contract documentation and work scopes in collaboration with project managers.
• Coordinate subcontractor tendering, negotiation, recommendation, and contract execution.
• Ensure subcontractors meet all pre‑commencement requirements, including insurance and statutory obligations.
• Prepare and agree on progress claims and extension of time claims with clients.
• Manage tender evaluations and recommendations for subcontractor selection.
• Process subcontract variations and assess extension of time claims.
• Finalise claims and secure Contract Value Agreements for project completion.

• Strong understanding of head contracts and subcontract templates.
• Ability to manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with timing and procedural requirements.
• Experience preparing scopes of work and coordinating subcontractor tendering and negotiations.
• Knowledge of subcontractor approval processes, including insurance and statutory compliance.
• Skilled in preparing and negotiating progress claims and extension of time claims.
• Proficiency in tender evaluation and recommendation processes.
• Ability to process subcontract variations and accurately assess extension of time claims.
• Experience finalising claims and securing Contract Value Agreements.
