What you would be doing

Enter and verify inventory transactions in SAP; maintain up-to-date and precise system records.
Proactively alert the Planning Team when inventory levels for critical components are low or at risk.
Recommend process enhancements to improve inventory turnover, minimize waste, and support production efficiency, including E&D disposal processes.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and provide input to prevent recurring inventory issues.
Support Procurement and Planning with accurate inventory data to minimize shortages and avoid overstock.
Document inventory findings and maintain logs for compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
Conduct scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in accordance with company policy.
Maintain accurate tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within the ERP system (SAP).
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system data; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
The Cycle Counter will report directly to the site's (Woodland, CA) Materials Manager and will work closely with the site Inventory Admin.
Act as a liaison between Materials, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to maintain operational alignment.
Contribute to the development and refinement of inventory control procedures aligned with lean manufacturing and best practices.
Assist in the execution of full physical inventories, including year-end audits.

Ability to identify trends, analyze root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (experience with SAP and/or QAD highly preferred).
2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
Familiarity with inventory KPIs (cycle count accuracy, inventory turns, etc.)
Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with variable temperatures and noise levels.
Associate’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; capable of working across departments.
Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Clear and proactive communicator
Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, basic analysis)
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Team collaboration and adaptability
Frequent standing, walking, bending, or kneeling during inventory activities.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in handling large volumes of inventory data.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Occasional exposure to forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
