Description

The Janitor role is responsible for keeping workplaces clean, organized, and disinfected, following safety and precaution rules. Duties include cleaning interior surfaces, maintaining restrooms, handling waste, and ensuring supplies are stocked. The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and closing doors at the end of a night shift.

• Clean interior surfaces including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and furniture.
• Remove stains from upholstered chairs and dust lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
• Empty and clean trash cans, ashtrays, and recycling containers; dispose of waste and snow from sidewalks as needed.
• Disinfect high‑touch items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Clean and restock restrooms, including refilling supplies.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed.
• Record completed tasks on a cleaning chart and report unsafe conditions or maintenance issues.
• Follow safety and precaution protocols, including lifting up to 50 lb and closing doors after night shifts.

• Demonstrate punctual attendance, reliability, and adherence to safety and security procedures.
