The Recycling Specialist is directly responsible for achieving recycling and waste‑reduction goals for multifamily properties as defined in county agreements, while also driving additional innovation projects assigned by management. The role requires a thorough understanding of WM service offerings and the ability to leverage WM relationships to meet sustainability targets.
- Develop and implement recycling programs that exceed county agreement metrics.
- Conduct outreach and education for multifamily property managers and residents to improve recycling practices.
- Analyze behavior impacts on diversion rates and provide innovative, credible recommendations to stakeholders.
- Design and deliver customized educational programs and presentations on sustainability goals.
- Perform site surveys and waste audits to create business‑driven recommendations aligned with district capabilities.
- Leverage WM service knowledge and relationships to ensure flawless execution of waste‑management solutions.
- Collaborate with Public Sector teams to shape overall county‑agreement strategy.
- Build and nurture community partnerships through participation in public events and meetings.
- Prepare and file internal and external reports, including recycling program analyses.
