Drive vehicle to job sites; load and unload tools and equipment; perform vehicle checks; wash vehicle.
Conducts corrosometer probe reading and rectifier-monitoring remote or on-site.
Obtain pipe/soil saturation reads at meters, frames and covers using equipment; obtain rectifier reads on poles and underground using equipment.
Performs pipe-to-soil readings.
Prepare and color – code maps to identify steel main, pipeline and anodes; check pipe/soil saturation and check spans for current flow by attaching the Vivax device to insulation points or rectifiers; check entire area for an initial survey or only key points for a resurvey.

Performs coupon test station monitoring.
Attend various meetings, including first aid, safety and compliance meetings.
Performs non-USA pipe locate and mark and equipment calibration for equipment used in those tasks.
Performs CPA troubleshooting including the use of ACCA Defect Mapper or wire spanning.
Performs galvanic anode installation.
Performs casing, soil resistance, magnetic particle and isolation testing.

Work experience and knowledge related corrosion control in a pipeline operating environment
Ability to pass federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing
Pipeline Cathodic protection system troubleshooting experience
Experience with PG&E, job related
Minimum of one year of Utility Construction experience
Must be able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, corrosion related portions of NEC, and NACE standards
