Industrial Engine Technician

Description

• Assemble, prepare, test, and inspect new engine packages for consistent quality prior to delivery
• Read and interpret technical information and specifications
• Operate a forklift to load/unload parts and maintain an organized, safe shop environment
• Manage engine and parts inventory, ensuring timely receipt and shipment of all orders

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (may be required for parts delivery or field service)
• Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain certification before operating forklifts on-site
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of safety practices and procedures in a shop environment
• Basic computer skills for order tracking and documentation
• Prior experience (2+ years) working with diesel engines or similar heavy equipment
• Communicate effectively, demonstrate reliability, and work independently or as part of a team, including overtime or weekend hours as needed
• Experience with basic hand and power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and assembly instructions
