Bid Manager

Description

You will take ownership of the bid process from start to finish, shaping win strategies, producing clear and persuasive written content, and ensuring every submission meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

• Manage bid programmes and coordinate inputs alongside Bid Coordinators to meet deadlines
• Produce, edit and review clear, engaging and technically accurate proposal content tailored to client requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior team members
• Lead the end-to-end bid process across a range of infrastructure projects, ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Support post-submission activities including clarifications, presentations and feedback reviews
• Work collaboratively with technical specialists, commercial teams and delivery leads to develop strong bid strategies and solutions
• Facilitate bid workshops, reviews and governance processes to drive quality and consistency
• Review tender documentation to identify key requirements, win themes and compliance obligations

Requirements

They are now looking for an experienced and driven Proposals Manager to join a growing infrastructure team and play a key role in securing major projects across rail, highways, energy and nuclear sectors. This is a high-impact position where you will lead the development of high-quality, competitive bids for complex infrastructure schemes, working closely with technical and commercial experts to create compelling submissions.

• Strong organisational and project management skills, comfortable managing multiple bids in parallel
• Background or exposure to highways, energy, rail or nuclear projects is highly desirable
• Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and working collaboratively across disciplines
• Good understanding of procurement processes, governance and compliance within infrastructure
• Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and compelling content
• Proven experience in a Proposals or Bid Manager role within the infrastructure sector, with at least three years’ experience
