You will lead multi‑disciplinary projects from inception to delivery, collaborate with engineers across offices, and help shape AECOM's digital strategy by applying BIM, ProjectWise, intelligent P&IDs and proprietary tools. The Water business comprises around 600 experts across the UK and Ireland, fostering an inclusive, forward‑thinking environment.
- Lead development and integration of all MEICA design elements from concept through detailed design, ensuring coordination with civil and process engineering and compliance with client specifications and regulations.
- Forecast technical knowledge and resource needs for bids; prepare proposals, scopes of work and fee estimates; provide strategic input on innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Monitor and manage project delivery within agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality parameters; ensure adherence to quality, risk, financial management procedures and AECOM core values.
- Promote and ensure worker, workplace and project health & safety; verify staff competence to perform duties safely.
- Build and lead geographically diverse MEICA teams, overseeing recruitment, line management and initiatives that maximise staff development, morale and performance.
- Utilise AECOM digital tools such as BIM, ProjectWise, intelligent P&IDs and in‑house pumping‑station generators to enhance design quality and consistency.

- Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Professional qualification as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with a relevant institution.
- Extensive water and wastewater industry experience, including familiarity with process safety.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary projects from proposal through design, construction support and handover.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent AECOM to clients.
