Accounts Payable Officer

Description

• Maintain financial records including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and on time, ensuring correct coding, approvals, and compliance with financial policies.
• Prepare routine financial reports such as expenditure summaries, cash flow reports, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor budgets, track expenses, and provide financial data to support planning and decision-making.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Respond to financial queries from internal stakeholders, assist with payroll support tasks, and collaborate on forecasting and budgeting activities.

Requirements

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles with practical experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficient in accounting software and systems, with strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
