Serve as the in-house expert and leader for the function.
Report and manage availability, run time, asset condition and capacity-utilization on electricity-related (energy and capacity) and non-electricity related (avoided emissions, societal) metrics.
Bringdown of historical reports to support project financing efforts.
Create, manage and maintain an asset register (identify and collaborate with internal teams to select the technology for it).
Maintain the roster of company best practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertaining to Asset Management.
Manage inventory of spares based on criticality and continuity requirements, track failures and corrective measures.
Monitor, maintain physical and cybersecurity perimeters and respond to incidents.
Be responsible for O&M RFPs, contract execution, performance and vendor relations.
Assess, monitor, and manage risk (a) operational, (b) commercial (credit/offtake), (c) suppliers (vendors/contractors) and warranties, and (d) safety and environmental risk against asset operation plans.
Manage lender/tax equity reporting, cash distributions, loan servicing, cash flow projections, etc. (bookkeeping by others).
Establish and maintain documentation (document control and configuration control).
Ensure high quality asset intake during turnover from construction.
Supervisory responsibilities: continuing to build and lead the growing Asset Management team
Manage insurance coverage policies for assets, working with other teams.
Oversee FP&A for performance optimization, executive and investor reporting on asset and portfolio performance (bookkeeping by others).
Oversee and drive revenue generation, customer acquisition/subscriptions vendors.
Create strategic operation plans (2-year cycle), annual asset operation plans, annual budgets for operating assets, repair and refurbishment plans.
Establish emergency response plans and execute them; track and manage Incident Reporting and Resolution.
Reporting energy and environmental attributes to various buyers, invoicing, monitoring AR.
Responsible for managing P&L of operating assets against projected goals for revenue and expenses (bookkeeping by others).
Establish and maintain decision trees for Levels of Service: (a) preventive & predictive maintenance, and (b) repair, refurbish and replacement.
Lead and manage a team of asset managers and field service technicians for the following tasks:

15+ years of professional experience, including significant leadership experience building and managing teams, reporting to senior management, and engaging external stakeholders
Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Strong ability to manage, train, and motivate teams to deliver at their peak capability
At least 5 years of experience managing assets with non-recourse financing and tax credit investments
Working knowledge of accounting/ERP systems (NetSuite, Dynamics) and asset management systems (IBM Maximo, 3-Megawatt BluePoint, or other comparable ticketing/work order management systems)
Experience deploying/managing a security or network operations center in the electricity domain
Familiarity or experience with community solar projects
Willingness to travel 25-30% for site visits as needed
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or another relevant field from an accredited institution required; must be willing to learn across disciplines
Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve Asset Management platforms and reporting tools
Solid analytical and presentation skills, with strong verbal communication and business-writing abilities
Familiarity or experience with wholesale or retail electricity markets or electricity trading; formal generator dispatch training from an ISO/RTO
Advanced familiarity with Building Energy Management Systems and SCADA systems for solar photovoltaic and battery storage projects (e.g., AlsoEnergy PowerTrack, PowerFactors, or Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure)
At least 10 years of progressive experience managing electric power generation or real estate facilities in the U.S.
