SOM is seeking a Revit Content Developer to join the Design Technology team and support firm‑wide delivery standards. Reporting to the BIM Standards Lead, the role focuses on creating and refining the internal library of Revit families and details to ensure consistent, efficient, and high‑quality project delivery across the firm.
The developer will maintain Revit categories, families, and parameters, assist in producing training materials for Architectural BIM standards, and operate within enterprise BIM guidelines. Responsibilities include quality‑assurance testing of BIM tools, contributing to custom tool development, and evaluating productivity gains through automation. The role also coordinates with Design Technology representatives, discipline experts, and other knowledge resources to align BIM assets and workflows with project performance goals.
Candidates must have strong experience with Revit; additional skills in Dynamo, scripting, and both imperial and metric family development are beneficial. Experience with Rhino, parametric and rendering software, Adobe Suite, and Google Workspace is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication, documentation, strong organization, project planning, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach are essential.
SOM offers comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life & accident insurance. Savings options feature 401(k) matching, pre‑tax spending accounts, and employee discount programs. Work‑life balance is supported through flexible schedules, paid family leave, vacation, backup child and elder care, and an employee assistance program.
Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $75,000, based on experience, qualifications, and education, with variations possible by location across North America.
