In this hands‑on position you will mentor crews, ensure compliance with Ventia’s Health and Safety Management System, and help maintain a strong safety culture in high‑risk environments.

Drive compliance and continuous improvement of the Health and Safety Management System across multiple remote sites.
Lead ICAM or equivalent investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Identify hazards proactively and develop practical mitigation strategies.
Coach and mentor onsite teams to embed safety‑first behaviours.
Travel regularly between Surat Basin sites and respond to short‑notice call‑outs.
Influence and mentor operational teams effectively.

Ventia is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor for FIFO work from Toowoomba, supporting remote oil and gas sites in the Surat Basin. The role offers stability, career growth and a 15‑on/13‑off roster that balances work and lifestyle.

Hold at least a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent).
Possess prior safety advisor experience in high‑risk industries, preferably oil and gas.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of safety risk management and incident investigation.
Adapt to remote environments and shifting priorities.
