The Generator Technician role supports commercial generators on cellular‑phone towers, providing service, repair, and upgrades in a fast‑paced telecom environment. The position is suited for independent self‑starters who are willing to travel and can respond to on‑call emergencies.
- Maintain, diagnose, repair, and upgrade generators, including installing or replacing components and entire systems.
- Perform performance checks and regular maintenance per blueprints and design specifications.
- Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and test for proper operation.
- Respond promptly to power/generator alarms and be available for 24/7 on‑call support as needed.
- Observe safety practices and use protective equipment while working with power‑supply and switching gear.

Safety is a top priority at Pearce, and employees must adhere to OSHA standards, pass a DOT physical, and be capable of handling the physical demands of the job, including lifting over 50 lb and working in various weather conditions.
- Minimum 1 year of hands‑on generator and electrical maintenance experience; 2 years preferred.
- Proficient with generator maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
- Knowledge of generator installations, mechanical/electrical components, and relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift >50 lb, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods.
- Capable of visual and audible equipment/alarm inspection and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel long distances and work varied hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and extended on‑call periods.
- Must pass a DOT physical.
