Operations Analysts in Automation oversee all operational processes and procedures to ensure IT services and infrastructure meet defined targets. They monitor infrastructure and application components while managing incident, problem, change, and release processes.
In incident and problem management, they identify solutions for recurring issues to minimize downtime and ensure timely resolution within SLAs. All incidents and problems are recorded in a central repository, and they collaborate with problem management teams to drive proactive and reactive measures. Periodic reviews and defined procedures are conducted for problem control, and they coordinate resolution for vendor‑managed products. Post‑Implementation Reviews are performed to drive continuous improvement.
Technical change management involves enforcing standardized methods for building, testing, and implementing changes that meet service levels. They work with business and IT stakeholders to align change requests with requirements, maintain comprehensive change records, and prioritize, plan, test, implement, document, and review authorized changes. Critical changes are escalated to the Change Advisory Board for assessment, prioritization, and scheduling.
Analysts participate in project teams throughout the technology enablement lifecycle, providing subject‑matter expertise during design and integration phases. They advise clients on business process services, collaborate with technology professionals and strategic alliances, and handle project management, execution, reporting, and client relationship building. Technical design work includes creating and enhancing automated solutions for JCI business processes, focusing on code development and technical excellence. Tools such as ServiceNow for ITSM tracking and Azure DevOps for workload management are utilized, and the role emphasizes continuous skill development in automation products, AI, OCR, and machine learning.
