Senior Water Resources Engineer

Description

• Oversee hydrometric site selection, study design, and model development
• Work within interdisciplinary teams to drive largescale industrial, commercial, and municipal waterrelated projects forward
• Steer business development by writing proposals, creating project scopes, managing budgets, and collaborating with clients and contractors
• Ensure safe work practices are developed and adhered to, including comprehensive safety planning for each project
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their training and professional development
• Lead and execute field programs for hydrologic and climatic data collection.

Requirements

• Highly proficient in hydrologic modeling and analysis software such as HECHMS, HECRAS, and PCSWMM
• Skilled in statistical software like R and HECSSP, and GIS mapping tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS
• Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical and scientific writing
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science, with specialized training in hydrology, hydrogeology, or water resources management Preference for candidates with a Master’s or Doctoratelevel degree in a related field, and those licensed with Engineers NS, Geoscientists NS, APEGNB or PEGNL Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of
• Working knowledge of Atlantic Canadian, Ontario, and federal regulations and permitting requirements for environmental monitoring and construction projects is a bonus
