Coordinate internal technical assistance/training of STV regional teams and other relevant staff in policy development, elected/agency leadership engagement and strategic planning.
Identify and track key conferences and events that strategically align with related service development. Develop strategy, structure, and content in preparation of engagement with major decision makers.
Provide local client support on workplace culture, leadership development, staff reorganization, intergovernmental partnership, project prioritization and other relevant issues.
Advise internal leadership on new business in the state/local market and collaborate in the development of strategies to ensure successful growth.
Create a community of practice amongst relevant clients that allows for shared experiences, solutions, and actionable steps for improvements in transportation.
Assist in positioning STV as a trusted advisor to support states, cities, counties, MPOs, and special purpose authorities/districts in the cultivating of innovative and effective solutions to improve infrastructure, transportation and organizational resilience.
Provide strategic though leadership to STV regional teams on local prioritization efforts, decision maker engagement, and future pursuits.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross-departmental collaboration, and drive projects to successful completion.
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Urban Planning Engineering or a related field required. Master’s degree desired.
Proven track record of navigating complex political landscapes, building coalitions, fostering meaningful collaborations, and identifying and growing strategic relationships that allow STV to support the vision and priority of major decision makers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and presenting to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex transportation challenges.
Ability to promote effective collaboration, identify and respond to national trends at the local level, create opportunities for proactive engagement, and ultimately drive positive project outcomes.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 3 years in a public or private leadership role.
Professional Licensure and Society Memberships
In-depth understanding of transportation and infrastructure policy, stakeholder engagement, intergovernmental affairs and regulatory frameworks at the local and state levels.
