Electromechanical Technician

Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Technician to support electrical and mechanical systems across their Leola manufacturing facility. This role focuses on maintaining, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems while performing a broad range of electromechanical maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.

• Support system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives related to automation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery, electrical panels, sensors, and drives.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Document system configurations, maintenance logs, and electrical updates.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify automation improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Install, program, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs and associated control systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing or process-driven environments highly preferred.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology (or equivalent experience).
• Proficient with electrical test equipment and mechanical repair tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or within a cross-functional team.
