Description

The company is seeking a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) Manager to establish, oversee, maintain, transition, and manage all HOA entities from inception through turnover. The manager will work with third‑party management firms, supervise HOA staff, coordinate legal documentation, and ensure smooth transitions of common areas and amenity centers. Responsibilities also include budgeting, insurance tracking, financial oversight, and acting as the liaison among the company, homeowners, and management companies.

• Supervise and train HOA Supervisor and Coordinator.
• Coordinate with Forward Planning/Land Department to draft and finalize CC&Rs, articles, and bylaws.
• Manage preparation and filing of HOA documents with government entities.
• Select, contract, and oversee third‑party HOA management companies and create initial budgets.
• Serve on HOA boards, schedule and attend all HOA meetings, and oversee transitions of common areas.
• Handle correspondence with management companies, homeowners, and resolve budget or complaint issues.
• Review and approve deficit funding and operating subsidy requests in collaboration with Accounting.
• Track HOA building insurance and update public offering statements.
• Assist Land Acquisitions and Forward Planning with legal documents and due‑diligence reviews.
• Ensure management companies obtain IRS ID numbers, open bank accounts, and prepare welcome letters and information sheets.
• Review HOA financials and resolve outstanding issues.
• Organize and attend HOA activities, including evening meetings (≈10 per month) and site inspections.
• May have supervisory responsibilities over HOA staff.

Requirements

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of related experience, and a Community Association Manager (CAM) license or equivalent state license, plus a valid driver’s license and vehicle. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to travel and attend evening meetings. D.R. • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.

• Strong leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel, email, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of homebuilding (preferred).
• Advanced budgeting expertise (preferred).
• Certified Notary Public (preferred).
