The Lead Engineer will deliver professional engineering services including studies, planning, design, specifications, reports, construction administration, and project management. They will communicate regularly with clients, supervisors, and project teams, attend various meetings, and lead proposal preparation and business development activities. Additionally, they will provide direction to technicians, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Candidates must hold a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (a Master’s is a plus) and possess a Professional Engineer license or obtain one within 6‑12 months. At least seven years of experience in water or wastewater civil or environmental engineering, strong project and construction management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and civil design software are required. Excellent communication, detail orientation, and interpersonal abilities are essential.
The position requires the ability to work in an office setting and outdoors during construction season, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb. A valid driver’s license is required, and flexibility for travel and overtime may be needed to meet project deadlines.
