Finishing Manager

Description

• Mentor and guide finishing teams to improve efficiency and workmanship.
• Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain health and safety compliance on-site and ensure the team follows all safety procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on-site, including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, and joinery.
• Conduct quality inspections and resolve issues proactively to prevent delays.
• Ensure works are carried out to the highest quality standards and in line with project specifications.
• Monitor daily progress and manage workflow to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

My client a Tier One Contractor is seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman / Finishing Manager to oversee the finishing works on a residential development in Cork. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can lead a team to deliver high-quality finishes on time and to specification.

• Strong knowledge of finishing trades, materials, and construction techniques.
• Hands-on, problem-solving approach with attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Relevant construction or trade qualifications are advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on residential projects.
