IT On-Site Support Engineer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Maternity Cover)

Provide on-site IT support including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and asset management in a large enterprise organization.
Monitor, report and contribute to the resolution of problems related to shared IT services (audio/video, printers, Wifi, cabling, networking, etc.)
I prepare and replace computer workstations, and decommission computers as per the established processes.
Develop collaborative relationships with office managers to better understand their IT challenges and work with the IT leader to address these needs as effectively as possible.
Lead IT induction sessions with a group of new employees to explain where they can find support resources and how to use our systems.
Develop collaborative relationships with employees to personalize and improve the service.
Guide and train employees on best practices whenever possible and needed.
Participate in the development of long-term strategies and planning for the future needs of IT services.
I provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution, and recovery for hardware/software problems.
I direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
I troubleshoot technical faults and work with external vendors and service providers to achieve fault resolutions when required.
Identify and document recurring problems and make recommendations for corrective measures, as well as participate in their implementation when possible.
Respond to IT incidents and requests at my main office location and during visits to site offices in the Middle East.
Contribute to the documentation of IT incident resolution processes.
I rigorously maintain the inventory of IT assets in the CMDB.
Participate in various IT projects including the IT scope of office relocation and renovation projects.
I resolve employee issues and requests in a timely and professional manner.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
I have strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, with experience supporting a range of hardware and software.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
I grasp technical concepts and principles quickly and am always looking to update my knowledge and skills as technology advances.
I am excellent in both written and spoken English.
Degree or certificate in computer science or other computer-related discipline.
Able to travel to the project site offices as frequently as required and occasionally to other Middle East regional offices.
I have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products in an Active Directory environment and
Experience and knowledge of ServiceNow.
Experience in Active Directory, and Windows server and networking technologies such as DNS, and DHCP.
Excellent organizational skills and able to apply clear thinking and structure to my daily way of working.
I am highly skilled in the Microsoft 365 suite, as well as in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS operating systems.

I have at least 5 years of experience in IT service delivery within a large Enterprise class organization, with a minimum of two of those years in a similar IT support team leader role.
I am ITIL certified and have an in-depth understanding and experience of the ITIL framework.
