The role involves safely operating a heavy‑duty truck on transfer routes, performing assigned duties with attention to safety and efficiency.
Drivers must operate vehicles in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all governmental regulations while maintaining a clean, safe fleet. They conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using DVIR forms, report hazards or incidents promptly, and attend required training and briefings. Collaboration with operations managers is essential to improve route efficiency, address unsafe accounts, and assist fellow drivers as needed. At each customer site, drivers fully empty containers, keep the area free of debris, correctly replace lids, and position containers to avoid blocking driveways. Completion of customer tickets for excess yardage and accurate documentation at the end of each route are also required.
The position offers $20.50 per hour plus DOE, with a Monday‑Friday shift starting at 4:30 a.m. WM emphasizes that the job provides more than a paycheck, offering opportunities for employees and their families.
