Leasing Consultant

Description

The Leasing Consultant reports to the Community Manager and is tasked with maximizing property occupancy by generating qualified traffic, networking within the local community, scheduling appointments, promoting resident retention, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is an entry-level position, though the company is willing to train the right candidate.

• Greeting prospective residents and conducting property tours
• Processing lease applications and qualifying residents
• Coordinating online ads and signage placement with the marketing team
• Supporting the Community Manager with office tasks, answering phones, and administrative duties
• Maintaining an up-to-date market study of primary competitors
• Providing high-quality customer service to residents and prospects
• Showcasing apartment and community features and benefits
• Identifying sales approach strengths and weaknesses, overcoming objections, and creating excitement
• Preparing lease-related documents accurately
• Following up consistently and timely on calls, emails, and site visits

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of high-quality customer service experience, preferably with leasing or lease-up exposure, strong communication and marketing abilities, a professional and positive attitude, and a college degree (preferred). Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook is required, as is the ability to work weekends and reliable transportation to the site.
