The Major Corrections Specialist supports Nordex’s mission to deliver clean, 100 % renewable power. The role leads and executes on‑site major correction projects, which involve crane‑lifted component replacements such as gearboxes or generators, and mentors technicians safely through the work. The position is field‑based within the Back‑Office department and requires extended travel across the United States and Canada.
A core part of the job is ensuring HSE compliance. The specialist generates HSE tickets, supports incident reporting and investigations, conducts risk assessments, oversees high‑risk work, delivers site‑specific safety training, manages LOTO procedures, and performs safety walks and quality audits.
Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma (or equivalent) and preferably a two‑year wind‑technology program, with at least three years of experience on major wind‑turbine corrective projects. Required certifications include rigging/crane signaling, OSHA‑compliant weight limits, a valid driver’s licence and medical clearance. Strong technical reporting, ability to read schematics, basic computer skills and fluency in English are also needed.
