The Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager and supports day‑to‑day property operations to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.
- Assist with leasing to achieve full lease‑up and maintain high occupancy, including mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing availability.
- Maintain accurate availability records compatible with lease renewal reports.
- Review, approve, and present rental applications to the General Manager for execution.
- Manage property licenses and renewals by liaising with legal counsel and the city.
- Oversee the check‑out process, accept keys, and inspect vacated units for compliance.
- Process leases and resident check‑ins efficiently and accurately.
- Investigate and resolve resident concerns or complaints promptly, maintaining good public relations and reporting to the General Manager.
- Prepare weekly performance reports as required.
- Develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace.
- Create and execute resident retention programs.
- Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors.
- Answer telephone calls as needed.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing.
- Operate office equipment including fax, copier, phone, computer, typewriter, calculator, key machine, key card system, and vacuum.
- Accurately perform numerical analysis, data transfer, and document preparation with correct grammar and legal compliance.
- Know and adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Follow through on paperwork and meet all deadlines.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Apply logical thinking to practical situations, follow standardized procedures, and adapt when minor deviations are needed.

- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Have a valid driver’s license; automobile insurance preferred.
- Demonstrate strong computer, math, typing, and record‑keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Entrata is preferred.
