The role involves complete steel structure design and engineering for large, complex EHV/HV substation projects, including gas‑insulated substations. Responsibilities include analyzing GIS layouts, reviewing tender specifications, coordinating with sales, project management, engineering, and customers to define project requirements, and initiating supply chain processes to create steel structures. The engineer will perform load combination and analysis using STAAD.Pro, generate foundation load reports, produce steel structure drawings, integrate models into GIS, prepare civil drawings, create BOMs and documentation in SAP, support the site installation team, and manage interfaces between buildings, steel structures, and GIS while contributing to the development of instructions, templates, checklists, and tools.
- Design and engineer large, complex EHV/HV substation projects, including gas‑insulated substations.

- Review tender specifications and follow design instructions.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, and customers to define project requirements per current standards.
- Initiate supply chain processes for steel structure creation and production.
- Perform load combination and analysis using STAAD.Pro.
- Generate foundation load reports for indoor/outdoor GIS substations.
- Create steel structure drawings per relevant standards.
- Integrate steel structure models into GIS models.
- Prepare civil drawings for substation contractors with steel structure foundation markings.
- Produce order BOMs and documentation in SAP.
- Provide technical support to site installation teams.
- Manage interfaces between buildings, steel structures, and GIS; contribute to development of instructions, templates, checklists, and tools.

Candidates must have 3–5 years of steel‑structure engineering experience, a bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering, and knowledge of standards such as ACI, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, and ANSI. Proficiency in STAAD.Pro is required, with experience in Tekla Structures or AutoCAD considered an advantage. Strong English communication skills, additional language abilities, interpersonal and teamwork skills, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
- 3–5 years of steel‑structure engineering experience with a bachelor's in civil or mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of steel structure standards (ACI, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, ANSI).
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; reliable and able to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro; experience with Tekla Structures or AutoCAD is advantageous.
