The role manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives for designated projects.
Key duties include coaching field-based Fleet Managers, performing site assessments and audits to uncover maintenance improvement opportunities, and communicating observations and corrective actions to the Group Fleet Director, corporate management, and field staff. The position requires up to 40 weeks of travel annually to support fleet maintenance initiatives, providing field communications across all management levels, supporting COMPASS activities, and serving as a liaison between corporate and field personnel. It also champions a customer‑focused, results‑oriented, safe culture, acts as an internal consultant to leadership in the assigned geographic area, and maintains expertise in fleet management, asset utilization, process improvement, root cause analysis, training, and capital/expense management while delivering ongoing training to frontline employees.
Required qualifications are a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include five years of relevant experience in the refuse, automotive, trucking industries, or a military maintenance background.
Physical requirements involve repetitive motions, eye/hand/foot coordination, sitting, talking, and hearing, with the job primarily performed in a professional office environment using standard equipment such as computers and phones. The expected base pay range for this position is $106,370 to $158,884, with eligibility for a 25% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus.
